Get a dermatologist's eyes on that spot you've been watching.
Send clear, well-lit photos of the mole or spot. A board-certified dermatologist will assess it online and, if anything looks concerning or online review isn't appropriate, will refer you to in-person care immediately.

A dermatology plan for mole & spot check.
What we treat
- Moles you've been watching change
- New spots that appeared in adulthood
- Spots that itch, bleed, or don't heal
- Family history of melanoma + a new concern
What photos & history help
- A clear close-up of the spot in even natural light
- A wider photo showing the spot's location on your body
- If possible, an older photo of the same spot for comparison
- Notes on any changes in color, size, shape, or symptoms

Possible parts of your plan.
Your dermatologist tailors the plan to your history. Not every option below will be appropriate for every patient. A DocBright visit is a medical evaluation, not a guaranteed prescription.
- Reassurance and a recheck schedule when appropriate
- In-person referral when a biopsy or dermoscopy is needed
- Education on the ABCDE warning signs of melanoma
Don't stress — if we can't help, we'll refund your visit.
Online dermatology isn't right for every concern. If we can't provide a first-line impression, or your condition isn't suitable for review via DocBright, we'll tell you and refund your visit fee.
- Any spot the dermatologist flags as needing a biopsy
- Asymmetric, irregularly bordered, multicolored, or rapidly changing lesions
- Family or personal history of skin cancer combined with a new concern

“At DocBright, our goal is to make high-quality dermatology care easier to access. Patients should be able to get thoughtful, professional care without waiting weeks for an appointment or rearranging their day around a video visit.”
Transparent. Simple pricing. No insurance headaches.
Choose standard or priority review. The level of care is the same; the difference is how quickly your case is reviewed. At $59, a standard visit is often less than most insurance copays — without the wait or paperwork.

Medication costs are separate and may vary by pharmacy, insurance, and prescription. Patients can use insurance for many prescriptions filled at the pharmacy. Prescriptions may be written for up to 6 months when medically appropriate. A paid follow-up visit is required at least every 6 months for ongoing prescription treatment.
Mole checks use the same $59 standard visit fee. If your spot requires a biopsy or in-person dermatology, your visit fee is refunded.
Questions about mole & spot check.
Can DocBright diagnose skin cancer from a photo?
No. A photo can prompt a referral for biopsy or in-person dermoscopy, but skin cancer is diagnosed through tissue biopsy. If your spot is suspicious, we will send you for in-person care immediately and refund your visit fee.
Is a mole check a replacement for an annual skin exam?
No. An online mole check is not a substitute for a full-body skin exam, especially if you have a personal or family history of skin cancer.
